The treatment of geriatric low back pain can be challenging for even
seasoned therapists. This fun lab course gives all participants the
knowledge and the skills to achieve clinical success for older adults
with low back pain. An evidence based assessment structure is covered
step by step. Traditional and mind-body treatment interventions and
their evidence are reviewed. Lab sessions include a variety of exercises
that are appropriate and effective for this population.
This course is 80% lab and 20% lecture. Course activities emphasize
experiences for the adult learner including sample patients, case
studies, group discussion, and post-tests.
