You’ve heard about the concept of regional
interdependence right? In a nutshell, this concept
suggests pain and dysfunction in one area of the body can
be treated with interventions to adjacent regions.
Classic examples include treating the hip and ankle for
knee pain and the thoracic spine and ribs for neck and
shoulder dysfunction.
What research is uncertain of though, is why and how does
this work? Is it possible the missing links haven’t
been rooted in traditional biomechanics, but rather in
the interconnected myofascial links throughout your
body?
Form, Function and Fascia will provide
you a framework to immediately use when evaluating your
next client’s posture and aberrant movement
patterns, as well as some manual therapy, therapeutic
exercise, and self-management strategies you can start to
implement with your clients to correct how they move and
reduce their painful .
While this is not a bed-sheet and massage free-up
creme course, participants should come prepared to move
and be seen in sports bra, shorts and underwear.
