When PT/OT clinicians understand connections between blood test results and patient/client presentation, they have additional opportunities to optimize rehab progressions and outcomes. This newly expanded topic will provide important insights to lab tests selected for their significance specific to PT/OT patient care.

Objectives

At the completion of this workshop you will be able to discuss:

  1. Why "normal" lab results are not necessarily "optimal".
  2. 8 key lab markers and why they are important, especially from a physical therapist's perspective ;)
  3. How selected lab markers are interrelated in pain, healing, immune resilience, brain function including memory and moods, balance, and more.
  4. 2 important lab tests related to cholesterol and insulin resistance.
  5. Recommendations to get the most out of blood tests.
  6. Where to learn more and how to obtain additional tests if desired.

During this additional hour we will review the results of actual fasting blood test reports, reference ranges, and potentially related symptoms. Topics, plus extended Q&A, will include:

Registration fee, less a $50 administration fee per session, is refunded if notice of cancellation is received more than 10 days in advance of the CE event. Cancellations made less than 10 days in advance of the CE event date forfeit the entire tuition fee. Tuition can be transferred to another individual or another CE event, one time only. No transfer, refund or credit will be given for cancellation 3 days or less before the CE event, or when handouts or other CE event materials are available electronically, including but not limited to emailed or downloadable pdf documents.

Rehab Connections reserves the right to cancel the CE event up to one week prior to the CE event. Rehab Connections will not be responsible for any charges incurred by the registrant due to the cancellation of the CE event, other than the CE event tuition.
