Course Description

Highly respected and recognized physicians will provide perspectives in their area of specialty and relate medical advancements to current rehabilitation by physical therapy and occupational therapy professionals.

Physicians will provide new perspectives for PTs, PTAs, OTs, and OTAs related to advancements in surgical procedures, rehabilitation, outcomes, and evidence based practice related to selected musculoskeletal and neurological disorders.

The unique format of this popular seminar is designed for the therapy provider to obtain current, in-depth information specific to common diagnoses and surgical procedures. This forum provides the unique opportunity to interact with recognized orthopaedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, and neurologic specialists.

Topics

   We have asked our speakers to discuss the following special topics:

  1. Impact of advancements on post-op management related to hospital length of stay, complications, early mobilization, and rehabilitation by PT/OT professionals.
  2. Outcomes and evidence based practice/evidence based medicine, including clinical practice guidelines.

Objectives

By the completion of this forum, you will be able to:

  1. Differentiate surgical approaches and techniques as presented.
  2. Describe implications for rehabilitation related to the surgical and medical interventions presented.
  3. Participate in multiple Q & A segments with a variety of physician specialists and surgeons.
  4. Discuss outcomes and evidence based medicine related to hip and knee arthroplasty, shoulder arthroscopy, Parkinson's Disease, and spine surgeries.

During the event, you will receive an email with a link to complete the Evaluation of the course, workshop, or forum.  Your Evaluation must be completed to receive your Certificate of Attendance.

After the event and when your Evaluation has been completed you will receive an email containing your Certificate of Attendance indicating the CE contact hours completed.  If you are unable to attend the entire course, workshop, or forum, you will receive an amended certificate indicating your actual hours of attendance.

Cancellations:
Registration fee, less a $50 administration fee per session, is refunded if notice of cancellation is received more than 10 days in advance of the course or workshop. Cancellations made less than 10 days in advance of the course or workshop date forfeit the entire tuition fee. Tuition can be transferred to another individual or another course or workshop, one time only. No transfer, refund or credit will be given for cancellation 3 days or less before the workshop or course, or when handouts or other course materials are available electronically, including but not limited to emailed or downloadable pdf documents.
Rehab Connections reserves the right to cancel the course or workshop up to one week prior to the course. Rehab Connections will not be responsible for any charges incurred by the registrant due to the cancellation of the course, other than the course tuition.
