PTs need to be ready for new CPT evaluation codes!

Correctly select codes and ensure your documentation includes necessary information to support the code's level of complexity. Plus learn time savers and key subjective and objective data to document. This workshop focuses on simplified and practical knowledge to immediately apply to your next new patient evaluation.

Topics

• Why choosing the correct level of complexity is important for PTs.
• Personal factors and co-morbidities of patients that are relevant to the PT plan of care.
• Necessary subjective and objective examination data to support the selected evaluation code.
• Options specific to clinical presentation that contribute to assigning the level of complexity.
• Key tools to assist clinical decision making.
• Criteria for using the new re-evaluation code.
• Medicare and other payer guidelines for the new evaluation and re-evaluation codes.
• ICD-10 diagnosis and treatment codes to include in PT reports and claims.
• Face-to-face time associated with the new evaluation and re-evaluation codes.

* PTAs will benefit from this workshop by gaining an understanding of how specific tests, measures, behaviors, observations, medical history, and subjective information are relevant and impact the PT plan of care.

Objectives

By the completion of this course the participant will be able to correctly:

1. Recognize the 3 new PT evaluation codes and their respective levels of complexity.
2. List the 4 components of complexity that must be documented in a PT evaluation.
3. Categorize 10 samples of evaluation information into history, examination, clinical presentation, and clinical decision making to determine complexity.
4. Select appropriate level of complexity in 4 case examples.

Cancellations:
Registration fee, less a $50 administration fee per session, is refunded if notice of cancellation is received more than 10 days in advance of the CE event. Cancellations made less than 10 days in advance of the CE event date forfeit the entire tuition fee. Tuition can be transferred to another individual or another CE event, one time only. No transfer, refund or credit will be given for cancellation 3 days or less before the CE event, or when handouts or other CE event materials are available electronically, including but not limited to emailed or downloadable pdf documents.
All unapplied transfers and credits will expire September 26, 2026.

Rehab Connections reserves the right to cancel the CE event up to one week prior to the CE event. Rehab Connections will not be responsible for any charges incurred by the registrant due to the cancellation of the CE event, other than the CE event tuition.
