Description

This one-day introductory course presents the biomechanical relationship between the lower quarter joints and muscles and introduces practical examination, intervention, orthotic, and shoe selection strategies for various lower extremity dysfunctions. Slides, lecture, demonstration, and lab sessions will provide the orthopedic physical therapist with a better understanding of how musculoskeletal impairments can affect the gait cycle resulting in lower extremity dysfunctions, in addition to practical examination and intervention techniques, orthoses, and shoewear.

At the completion of this course, you will be able to:

  3. Incorporate practical examination and therapeutic exercise strategies into your repertoire.
  4. Determine when orthoses are needed as an adjunct intervention.
  5. Discuss appropriate shoewear for patients.

Denny has been a “physical adventurer,” since conception and loves obstacle course racing, scuba diving, and training. He is uber passionate about maximizing people’s health, performance capacity, and getting athletes back to their sport!

Denny has been both an eclectic, orthopedic sports-medicine physical therapist and strength and conditioning coach for 22 years and wears both roles on his sleeve.

He uses a combination of manual therapy skills, dry-needling, taping and movement based drills to "control - alt - delete" aberrant movement patterns, muscle inhibition and musculoskeletal asymmetries.

Denny relishes teaching and sharing what he believes works and is useful to colleagues and healthcare professionals while also learning something new from them!

He works with athletes ranging from endurance athletes to power lifters, ball players to field athletes, and all levels in between.

Denny is the owner of Moose (L)-Up Redemption Club (MURC) Strength Gym and Denny PT Solutions. He believes a beautiful marriage exists between physical therapy and strength and conditioning whether helping clients to alleviate pain or improve their athleticism.

Cancellations:
Registration fee, less a $50 administration fee per session, is refunded if notice of cancellation is received more than 10 days in advance of the CE event. Cancellations made less than 10 days in advance of the CE event date forfeit the entire tuition fee. Tuition can be transferred to another individual or another CE event, one time only. No transfer, refund or credit will be given for cancellation 3 days or less before the CE event, or when handouts or other CE event materials are available electronically, including but not limited to emailed or downloadable pdf documents.
All unapplied transfers and credits will expire September 26, 2026.

Rehab Connections reserves the right to cancel the CE event up to one week prior to the CE event. Rehab Connections will not be responsible for any charges incurred by the registrant due to the cancellation of the CE event, other than the CE event tuition.
